Last week, virtual racers were given a chance to feel themselves The Crew 2 : from June 21 to June 25, an open beta test was held, where I drove with great interest, flew and sailed hundreds of kilometers. The full version of the game that was released today has already reached the editorial office, so a full -fledged review is not far off. Daredevils from all over the United States approved four disciplines: Street Racing, Pro Racing, Freestyle and Off Road. Progress in these types of motorsport just forms the basis of the plot and your career advancement. In practice, this is realized soundly, but the elements of history are better to pass by the ears: local monologues about the subtlest matters of the race philosophy, in their awkwardness and Paphos, are even reached with the plot NFS: Payback.

Each discipline has its own set of racing classes and competitions. In Street Racing, for example, in addition to standard city races, there is drift and races in a straight line. Freestyle is imprisoned for reckless races on which it hit (from high-speed boats to monsters trucks) and spectacular tricks. Pro Racing includes planes, motor boats and even turlah carriers, and in Off Road you need to knead dirt on crossed areas – a kind of rally on trucks and bugges.
What is especially strange, for each class, transport must be bought separately: in the game there are no, for example, universal cars that are suitable immediately for drift tracks and city streets. At the same time, the models of technology can literally coincide, but formally these are different versions for each type of race. Want to run up your racing Skyline in the drag-racing? There is tuning in the game, but the variety of new details depends on the transport itself. However, even a few available options, as a rule, are enough to noticeably ennoble the standard model. The pumping system of “fillings” is something similar to the cards from NFS: PayBack, however, in The Crew 2, it is simplified and not so distracted from the races. The upgrade menu transparently hints which part should be replaced by advanced, how much it will improve the characteristics of the machine and, in the case of rare spare parts, which bonus perk will receive your motor vehicle.
The editor of coloring was truly pleased: there you can not only share your creations with other users, but also download ready-made tights from a special collection. Something similar was everything in the same NFS: PayBack or Gran Turismo Sport.
Although the local progression system first scares the size of the necessary investments, the pumping is quite lively: the currency grind almost does not inhibit the development of the player. Only for the purchase of premium motor vehicles you still have to spend time on repeating already passed rains-or pour real money into the game. However, it is not particularly difficult to win the races: the local AI is a weak opponent, and for high positions in the hero’s race they generously awarded with intra -game currency, spare parts and … subscribers.

As a rule, all games we go on our computers, but for Crew 2 made an exception. The system was asked from the company Hyperpc, which sent us an extremely unusual "Conquer".
It is assembled in a rather rare COUGAR Conquer – Skeleton, in which all the components are in the palm of your hand. The base has a powerful frame, the front and upper part are covered with metal panels, and the sides are clamped with thick glasses. Interesting body and layout. The standard 8086K operates 4 GHz instead of 3.7, and under the Turbo Boost 2.0 should get to 5 GHz against 4.7 from the counterpart. True, the standard Hyperpc frequencies were left overboard, the stone was fed and raised to 5.2 GHz on all nuclei. For this, the voltage was increased to serious 1.42 volts, and they put it on cooling with 240-mm radiator. As a result, the temperature under load is only 70 degrees.

Memory was installed from the heart – 32 GB by four slats Hyperx Predator at a frequency of 2933 MHz. The storage system was gained by two drives. We have no complaints about the assembly quality. The wires are neatly diluted in the case and collected in harnesses on the back of the motherboard. Moreover, the company has observed a common color scheme. The cables of the video card, the processor and the motherboard were removed in the orange-black braid, and the fans used relatives, from Cugar, with orange backlight.
Performance
In Crew 2, we tested the last Game Ready Nvidia drivers – 396.36 with profiles registered under the game. Whether they added performance – it is difficult to say, because with such an iron computer and old drivers there was more than well. Is it a joke, even in 4K and on the “ultra” settings with the smoothing on the average fps turned out at 52 frames, and 1% did not fall below 40. That is, no frizes. Unfortunately, boasting hundreds of frames in Full HD will not work. As in the first part, FPS was blocked in Crew 2 at a level of 60 frames and it was not possible to remove this restriction even through the internal XML file. Therefore, we will only say that despite the fact that the game was tested in the open Beta for all the time we did not catch a single glitch. Moreover, neither from the side of the game itself, nor from iron or GeForce Exepreinca.

Arcadity The Crew 2 do not occupy. It is visible everywhere: from extremely obedient ground transport to absurd switching between different types of equipment on the go. For example, I was impressed by a high -speed congress on a massive pickup: during the descent along a steep slope, it was clearly felt that the car was not enough weight, and I frantically tried to cope with the control so as not to fly into a tree or boulder. At first, such a game experience confuses and causes bewilderment, but over time you begin to get used to the atmosphere of reckless arcaness – you just need to accustom yourself to close your eyes to how the plane crashes into a tree over and over again, and then continues to fly as if nothing had happened in anything.
Motor boats were much more interesting than one could assume. On the water, unlike asphalt, it is necessary to take into account not only the progress of opponents, but also the flow, gusts of wind and, therefore, the height and direction of the waves: here you are fighting not only with other riders, but also with the elements. But the planes are disappointed: you can become the king of dead loops in just an hour. The flight mechanics lack the depth – at least the same influence of wind and other weather conditions.
Racing disciplines with airplanes also do not dilute the grayness and straightforwardness of all this air action: the most of these competitions are reduced to overcoming key points in a certain position of the case or simply to span through the gate-cabinet.

The arcade approach to gameplay contrasts greatly with the general visual realism. But, most amazing, this contradictory formula still works: American open spaces really seem to be a real playground.
The conquest of America
The virtual version of the United States from Ivory Tower is still impressive by the scale: the path “on wheels” from one coast to another takes from half an hour or more. Key cities, locations and attractions also returned, so hold a big finger on the photo mode button: the developers responsibly worked out landscapes and geographical zones of the States, so it is worth at least a couple of times to abandon the quick movement and just ride among beautiful views. They more than pay for the designer shortcomings of The Crew 2 – weak models of characters, the implementation of damage and a dubious change of weather conditions. True, the language will not turn to call the open world with rich events.
